Birthday and weapon of MASS destruction!!!!

On my birthday, after finishing with the lab and since it is a public holiday (hurray, American celebrate my birthday by declairing it public holiday!!! Just kidding, it is labour day as well)
I went to the up market shopping centre "Legacy Village"

The first store i see was cheesecake factory and i love cheescake. So i thought this is a good start, i could buy myself a cake. But they only serve full lunch menu and they dont serve cake only :( got rejected by the shop since i dont want to pay US$25 dollor for lunch just to get a cake.
So i started walking around. Found this sport shop call Dick sport center
The lower level sell, nike shoes, bags, football all the boring stuff. But when i get up to level 1, everything changes. They sell air rifle and i spend 20 mins or so there, then i see Bow and arrows on the shelf!!!!! WOW!!!!!!
Then i found CrossBow. A father was buying one for his son (i will say about 15 plus ) and the sale personel was stringing the crossbow...overheard that hunting season is in oct....
Follow by real rifle and shot guns. I heard one mum, saying this to her two kids of 10 plus year old. "ok grab that box of ammunition and we can go shop for a gun for your brother" WOW..WOW....WOW.....
Look at the price of a CARTON of ammunition only US$4.99 and US$2.99, cheaper than my box of shushi!!!!!! (read taste of cleveland for price of shushi)
After spending more than 3 hours there look over and over the rifles,knieves and crossbow, i decide to leave. This is the outside of the shop.Have fast food for lunch, found anything missing???? Yes she forgot to give me my potato chips :( so after i finished with these, i walk to the counter and requested for my missing fries
Took bus home and saw a rabbit at the backyard of the place i am staying. Can you spot the rabbit? (it is on the right side of the metal pole)

taste of cleveland

Taste of cleveland is a 5 days yearly event, where restaurant all over cleveland will set up stores and serve samples of their menu. Initally i thought it will be free, but i have to pay 5 dollor entry and then the food as well :(

This cost me US$6, two pieces of shushi (Tuna and Kingfish) and 3 mini california roll
The hot dog look BIG!!! and only US$3.75, cheap when compared to the shushi. BUT BUT...they only give you half a hot dog, felt cheated :( mine was smaller than half a hot dog.
This was good, lobster and crab meat balls at US$2.50 (taste more flour than lobster or crab)
Eclaire, best buy of the day. US$2.50 and beer at US$6

Games where the kid try to throw the ball to make the guy fall into the water, she tried 3 times without success and walk over and push the lever....so funny

Hurricane katrina

Because i dont have a TV at my room, i dont follow the news. On monday went i reached the lab, Rosemarry asked if i am prepared for Katrina. I asked, who is Katrina????
She then tell me that Katrina is the hurricane and she is coming to CLEVELAND!!!!! There are flood warning etc.... but i told her that i dont have TV at home thus does not know about Katrina.

She then told me that Katrina will arrive Tomorrow, that night, i went out to get myself a weekly pass for i dont want to ride my bicycles to lab and also get myself an umbrella. On tuesday, it start to rain at 11am, and i thought to myself, hurray my first natural disaster. But to my disappoinment, Katrina only rain for 48 hours with no strong wind or flooding or tearing of building like what she did to NEW ORLEANS (the photo above)



Oh well, i should say i am LUCKY that nothing happened....hehehehe.....
